Should I Bundle My Business Phone System?

Category: Hosted PBX, Phone Systems

As a business owner there is no end to the services that need to be bought to keep your company running.  Between licensing, taxes and profit margins, you have more than enough factors to keep your eye on.  Whenever it is possible to combine two issues into a single bill or service, it is an opportunity for you to make your life just a little bit easier.  Luckily, when it comes to choosing a PBX system or phone service, most companies are now willing to bundle your options together.  This simplifies your life, and when you have found a provider that is a good fit, it can give you a sense of security about the systems underlying your business.

Many would ask why these particular services ought to be bundled, but a quick glance makes the case clear and easy enough.  With more and more companies now switching over to VOIP providers and Hosted PBX systems for their phone lines, the phone service is becoming increasingly entangled with the internet service, call center service and network monitoring such as traffic analysis programs.  Once you have switched over to a digital PBX, then your phone lines are already dependent on the reliability of your network and the speed thereof, making it all the more important to choose an internet provider who will support your business phone service.  The same applies if you  find yourself transferring other systems such as call center, or voice mail to digital forms.

Rather than keep track of a half-dozen various companies providing services, often with overlapping functions, bundling those services means a simpler, streamlined business day for you.  Many VOIP and Hosted PBX service providers now offer bundling services, working together to ensure that everything from your internet provider to your automated attendant are all exactly what your business needs, no more, and no less.

Bundled services are not necessarily for all companies.  We live in a time of rapid change, and your business needs will change as the demands of your customers and the market shifts.  It is important to evaluate the needs of your company when deciding what step to take in signing on with a new service provider.  However, if you have begun the slow digitization process of your company – whether that is through Hosted PBX and VOIP services or through call center solutions or network drops, it might be time to consider bundling your services together.
